Rubbish clean-up demanded after blaze

TWO rubbish fires in the Coal Clough area had firefighters calling for action by Burnley Council.

Crews were called to Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, at 8 p.m. last night before being called out to one an hour later in Cog Lane, Burnley.

A fire and rescue service spokesman said: "We have been having problems in this area with rubbish and we are asking the council to look into cleaning it up."
